More dire bat face
Courtesy sleep deficit:
Notes: progressing slowly. Lots of technical challenges. I tried to kick the hand up a notch. Doesn’t show so well with the lighting. The ears membrane I realized will have to serve only as a support for the sculpted surface. It’s too thin to do anything with.

Lots of work yet remains.
Got some new gear. |

Dire bat and Vampire spec-ops - 28mm WIP
Facing some interesting and educational challenges so far. I'm looking forward to seeing things flesh out more but it's really fun.
The sleeve I freestyled as I sculpted it. It occurred to me on the fly to add the outerwear and to sculpt him as wearing a military style sweater. It just seemed too silly and awesome to pass up.

Give us a hand, willya?
Trying out this new/old hand technique. It's difficult to get the right thickness and smoothness as well as give some more specific description to the anatomy of the hand. A very intense session, sculpting that. I mixed some Green Stuff into the putty to give it higher stickiness so that it would adhere better to the bare copper wire.
I should do whatever gear and details go on the torso before dressing up the anatomy of the arm.

Vampire dental surgery
I had to do some major facial remodelling.
The left eye was badly misaligned and the mouth looked terrible.
I'm still not happy with the result but this is as good as he's gonna get for now.
I want to do a series of different heads after this just to get better at making them.
Soon I'll have to move on to the bat and also I want to add some props and maybe try a new hand making technique I've thought about.
Will update.

Vampire face calculations
Not much to say yet. The head is again slightly enlarged and I miscalculated the size of the teeth so he looks a bit grotesque. I'll try to sharpen the gorget when it cures.

I like big bats and I cannot lie
I've done some work. The amount of mass on the bat creature is pure insanity compared to what I'm used.

New project: Vampire spec-ops riding Dire-Bat
Starting on a new project
1:56/Warpunk/Vampire Spec-Ops riding Dire-Bat.
I'm keen to see how it goes. There are going to be a lot of special challenges.
The scale 1:56 is a good fit for 28mm miniatures size. I'm working right now mostly in Green Stuff AKA blue/yellow Kneadatite. Later I'll use KraftMark ProCreate which I prefer for the outer layers work. That's just a personal preference.
The Warpunk genre is simply a mash up between stock fantasy and 20th century military themes.

Tweaked out space dude
28mm or 1:56 scale science fiction trooper. This guy is part of the planetFallers force and is a communications/combat drone operator. Sculpted mainly with Kraftmark ProCreate and PSI yellow/blue kneadatite for the understructure. The base is one from several I have lying around that's from a big name brand game and is for display purposes.
Done some tweaks:
Elongated the fingers on both hands.
Sanded and shaved the edges of the shoulder pads.
Lengthened the one knee pad that was short.
Enhanced the nape of the helmet.
I'm eager and way tired to start the next one which is in the Warpunk genre. It's going to be awesome.
