I wanted to see if I could do a bigger "bulk" of work so I can progress faster. I did the entire pants and boots in one go. The result is a little disheartening. I'm pleased with some aspects of the pants but the boots will have to be rolled back. I'll need to shave back quite a bit, I think.
I guess there's a lesson here: do as much as you can but not more than that.
Or does that sound underachieving? I suppose it's also important to keep trying to push the boundaries.
In other news: THE POLL RESULTS ARE IN!
Hoorah!
Well, let's see what they are.
12 people voted on the theme they might consider crowdfunding with a three way split between modern IDF, World War 2, and SciFi Drop troops. The latter taking a small lead of 1.
12 had also voted on the scale they will prefer and 28mm takes the cake by a land slide (I think that's an expression) with 7 votes. 15 mm is in second place with a respectable 3 votes and not far behind is 20mm.
It seems like a good conservative bet. An interesting project to say the least. 28mm Science Fiction characters. I'm intrigued. I'll think some more on the matter, there's a lot of room for creativity and inventiveness here. What kind of Sci Fi setting, design ethic, with helmets or without?
Though not many people voted, I'm willing to consider the result to be a representational sample of market trends. On the other hand, sometimes the market doesn't know yet that it wants something until it is presented.

Hi,
I guess you are right. Those boots need a bit more work, but nevertheless you did a great progress on the figures. So don't push yourself too hard.
You're doing good!
Regarding the Poll: Yeah! I like that 12 people voted - it is more than I ever got in any poll I set.
Now it is on you to set those scifi troops or what ever you make of it. Do you want some input or thoughts or so?
Stargazer
Thank you. Hell yeah I'd love to hear your thoughts/input and whatever!
Yes, the speed comes only during training!! I'm sure the figures will be a sucsess...the only thing is you need 15 figures to get a mould.
I wish you all the best for your kickstarter!
Thank you Black Hussar! The crowdfunded idea is still in it's diapers, though, so it's a little early for luck. :)
